  Report by the UN Environment Programme detailing contaminated sites in Iraq. Further to this, the UNEP issued a press release about the cleanup operation, in particular that of the Al Quadissiya metal plating facility. Overall close to $40 million is needed to meet the report’s recommendations in full.
