(formerly the Coalition Provisional Authority Office of the Inspector General). In charge of auditing and overseeing US reconstruction work, in particular "focused on providing value to the Administration, the Congress, and the American people".

    Published a month after the end of each financial quarter, these reports summarize SIGIR findings including audits, inspections, investigations, and analysis of data and developments related to Iraq reconstruction progress. They also cover the activities of SIGIR itself.

    • October 2006 SIGIR report to Congress (30 Oct 2006)

      The October 2006 report to congress is essentially a collation of the SIGIR reports published over the last sixth months. It gives an overview of current US reconstruction efforts in Iraq, and in particular problems with them including waste, corruption, bribery, and lack of security.
